Freeport Flats was born from a deep love for the bay and the life built around it.

My husband started working these waters at just 13, working side-by-side with his father. He learned early on the patience this work requires, and the quiet pride that comes with an honest day's work on the bay. After losing his father far too soon, that connection to the water became even more meaningful to us as a family.

Working the bay isn't something everyone chooses, it's something you feel called to. For our family, it's simply a part of who we are.

We have so much respect for the fishermen and women who head out before sunrise, who know these waters by heart, and who carry forward traditions shaped by generations before them. Many see the water as a view, while others see it as livelihood. Their steady dedication and love for the bay continue to inspire everything we do at Freeport Flats.
